Bihar Urban Planning and Development Board

Bihar Urban Planning and Development Board.-(1) As soon as may be after the commencement of this Act, the Government shall, by notification in the official gazette, constitute and appoint the Bihar Urban Planning and Development Board for carrying out the functions assigned to it under this Act. The Board shall be comprised of the following members:-

1. (i) Development Commissioner - Chairperson
2. (ii) Agriculture Production Commissioner /Principal Secretary/Secretary, Agriculture Department - Member
3. (iii) Principal Secretary/ Secretary, Health Department - Member
4. (iv) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Planning& Development Department - Member
5. (v) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Panchayati Raj - Member
6. (vi) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Industries Department - Member
7. (vii) Principal Secretary/ Secretary, Finance Department - Member
8. (viii) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Rural Development Department - Member
9. (ix) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Education Department - Member
10. (x) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Revenue and Land Reforms Department - Member
11. (xi) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Water Resource Department - Member
12. (xii) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Environment and Forest Department - Member
13. (xiii) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Road Construction Department - Member
14. (xiv) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Building Construction Department - Member
15. (xv) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Transport Department - Member
16. (xvi) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Public Health Engineering Department - Member
17. (xvii) Principal Secretary/Secretary Disaster Management Department - Member

(xviii) Secretary, Department of Law - Member

1. (xix) Principal Secretary/Secretary Tourism Department - Member
2. (xx) Principal Secretary/Secretary /Secretary Art, youth and Culture Department - Member

1. (xxi) Principal Secretary/Secretary Rural Work Department - Member
2. (xxii) Principal Secretary/Secretary /Food and Supply (Civic) Department - Member

(xxiii) Principal Secretary/ Secretary Urban Development and Housing Department - Member Secretary

1. (xxiv) Two Experts of National Repute on Urban and Regional Planning nominated by the Government - Member
2. (xxv) Senior Law Officer nominated by the Advocate General - Member
3. (xxvi) Chief Town Planner, Urban Development and Housing Department - Member

1. (2) The Board may invite representatives of Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Housing and Poverty Alleviation, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Ministry of Railway, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India as special invitee members for its functioning.
2. (3) The Government or the Board shall be competent to nominate or co-opt any person/persons whom it may think necessary for the functioning of the Board.
3. (4) The Board so constituted shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
