Dean, Research and Development -

1. (i) The Dean of Research and Development (R&D) shall be appointed by the Vice- Chancellor for a period of three years from amongst the University Professors or Associate Professor in such manner as prescribed in the Statutes.
2. (ii) The Dean of R&D shall create awareness about research, innovation, incubation, startups and development among faculty and students. The Dean of Research and Development shall coordinate with other faculties to ensure high standards in Ph.D programmes and research publications. This involves organizing workshops and seminars on research methodologies, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting research activities, and maintaining quality assurance for academic excellence.
3. (iii) The Dean of R&D shall act as a liaison between researchers and relevant funding agencies.
4. (iv) The Dean of R&D shall establish, maintain and strengthen links of the University with premier national and international universities and institutions.
5. (v) The duties, powers and functions of the Dean of Research and Development shall be prescribed by the Statutes.
