(1) When any land, whether within or outside the limits of the municipal Compulsory

area. or any easement affecting any immovable property vested in the Acquisition of land. Municipality is required for any public purpose under this Act, the State Government may, at the request of the Municipality, proceed to acquire such land or easement under the Land of Acquisition Act,1894.

1. (2) The Municipality sha1l be bound to pay to the State Government the cost including all charges in connection with the acquisition of the land under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
2. (3) The Municipality may resort to other methods of land assembly including the use of transferable development rights.
