Statutory text
(1) The Dean, Academics shall be appointed by the Director from among the Professors. (2) The Dean shall be responsible for the conduct and maintenance of the standards of teaching and research in the Institute. (3) The Dean, Academics shall be the Member- Convener of the Board of Studies. (4) The Dean, Students Welfare shall be appointed by the Director from among the Professors and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Regulations.
