Savings

Nothing in this Act shall be deemed to preclude,- (a) the Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation Limited to carry on trade in liquor in accordance with rules made in this behalf; (b) the buying and selling of liquor carried on by the military canteens in the State under any licence granted in accordance with the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Act 17 of 1968) and the rule made thereunder; and (c) the consumption and utilization of medicines, toilet preparations and other food material containing alcohol. Explanation:- Liquor for the purposes of this section does not include arrack.
