Faculties

(1) The University shall have the Faculties of Fisheries Science and such other Faculties as may be prescribed. (2) Each faculty shall comprise such Departments with such assignment of subjects of study as may be prescribed. (3) There shall be a Board for each Faculty, the constitution and powers of which shall be as may be prescribed. (4) The Dean shall be the Chairman of the Board of the concerned Faculty and be responsible for the faithful observance of the statutes and regulations relating to the Faculty and for the organization and conduct of the Teaching, Research and Extension work of the Departments comprised therein. (5) Each Department shall have a Head, whose appointment, powers and duties shall be as may be prescribed, and who shall be responsible to the Associate Dean for the proper organization and working of the Department. (6) Senior most amongst all the Heads of Departments in all University Colleges together shall be the University Head of the concerned Department. Powers and duties of the University Head shall be as may be prescribed.
