The Uttarakhand Public Services (Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2019
The Uttarakhand Public Services (Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2019, establishes a 10% reservation quota for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in state government jobs. It applies to permanent residents of Uttarakhand who are not already covered by existing reservation schemes for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Socially and Educationally Backward Classes. To qualify, a candidate’s family must have an annual income below ₹8 lakh and meet specific land and property ownership limits.
