The Uttarakhand private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2025

(1) This Act may be called the uttarakhand private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2025. (2) It shall come into force atonce.

In theuttarakriandprivate universities Act, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the priiicipal Act), in section 19, sub-section (I), for clanse (c) the following clause shall be substituted, namely :- (c) be ex-officio chaiman or the Board of Management and the Academic Council.

In section 28 of the principal Act, after sub-section (2) the sub-sections numbered as sub-section (2) and sub section (3) shall be renumbei.ed as sub-section (3) sub-section (4) respectively.

In seetion 42 oftheprincipal Act, in sub-section(1) for the woi.ds "Nationalized Bank" the woi.ds "Nationalized/Scheduled Bank" shall be substituted.

In schedule-2 ortheprincipal Act after sol.ial number 4, the following serial numbers with enti.ies shall be inserted, iiamely :- S.No Name and Main Campus of the University Name of Acts S ponsoi.ing Body 5. (1) If any difficulty ai.ises regar(ling the establishment of Phonics lhivei.sity, Roorkee or Ethics Uhivei.sity, Pauri Garhwal or The University of Noi.th West liimalayas, Dehradun oi. Shree Om University, Roorkee, then the State Government may, by ordei. published in the Offici`al Gazette, make such provisions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as appear to it to be necessary or expedient for removing the difficulty : Provided that no such order shall be made after expiry of three yeai.s from the date of commencement of tlris Act. (2) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid before the State Assembly as soon as after it is made.

Notwithsunding Such amendment anything done or any action taken under the pi.incipal Act shall be deemed to have been done or taken undei. the con.esponding provisions of this Act.
