Penalty for failure to pay cess when due

If the generating company or UPCL (for commercial and industrial consumers), as the case may be, fails to pay the cess in accordance with the provisions of this Act, he shall be liable to pay in addition to the cess so payable, a penalty thereon at the rate two percent per month.
