Other functions of the Council

(1) To perform such other functions, as may be prescribed for promoting excellence in higher education and scientific research.

(2) Advisory functions- (i) To advise the State Universities to make new Statutes, Ordinances, Rules and Regulations on the basis of the respective University Act or to amend the existing Acts, Statute, Ordinances, Rules and Regulations, where necessary, keeping in view the various norms and requirements to be fulfilled; (ii) Towards performing any other functions necessary for the furtherance of higher education in the State.
