Succession/Life-time of Recipient
The Tripura Freedom Fighters Pension Rules, 1992Except in case of un-married daughters, the pension is for the life time of the recipient. In the case of un-married daughters, pension ceases immediately after they are married or become otherwise independent. In the case of death of a pensioner, his/her spouse though otherwise eligible for pension will automatically succeeded to such pension. They shall have to apply with proof of death of the pensioner to the pension Disbursing Officer for issuing the pension to the spouse of the deceased. However, the un-married and un-employed dependent daughter of the freedom fighter will have to apply afresh to the competent Authority for sanctioning pension along with the following documents. i) Certificate from the Sub-Divisional Officer of the Revenue Sub-Division of the District in which she is resident of her relationship to the deceased freedom fighter, her age and un married status-independent, and that she has no independent income and was totally dependent upon the deceased freedom fighter. ii) Permanent Resident Certificate from the Sub-Divisional Officer/District Magistrate.
