Short title, extent and commencement

Preliminary

1. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1997.
2. (2) It extends to the whole of Tripura.
3. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Govt. may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
