Statutory text

(1) No nuclear vessel shall proceed to any port or place in India including territorial waters thereof without permission of the Central Government. Explanation.--For the purposes of this sub-section, "nuclear vessel" means a vessel with a nuclear power plant.
(2) The Central Government may, by general or special order, issue such directions, as it deems fit, to the registered owners of the vessels, for taking such security measures as may be necessary.
