Power to call for information from Village-Level Functionaries of all Departments.

(1) The Gram Panchayat may require the Village-Level Functionaries of all Departments specified in Schedule–VII having jurisdiction over the Gram Panchayat to furnish information on any matter falling within such categories as may be prescribed in respect of villages within its jurisdiction or any part thereof or any person or property therein and such Village-Level Functionaries of all Departments shall comply with such order. (2) The order shall specify the period within which it may be complied with but the Gram Panchayat may, from time to time, extend such period.
