Power to inspect and regulate supply of water.

Any Irrigation officer authorised in this behalf and any person acting under his general or special order may enter upon any land, building or water-course, for the purpose of inspecting and regulating the use of water, and measuring the land, irrigated thereby, or chargeable with a water tax, and for the proper regulation and maintenance of any irrigation work from which such water is supplied and also for doing other necessary work.
