Compensation on account of interruption of supply of water.

If damage is caused to any occupier of land by interruption in the supply of water, or if any cause of action arises under section 22, the person aggrieved may present a petition for compensation to the Collector for the damage, who shall after consulting the Irrigation officer award to the petitioner reasonable compensation for such damage.
