Animal or bird not to be kept in urban areas without licence

No person shall keep or cause to be kept or permit the keeping of any animal or bird, as may be specified by the Government in this behalf, by notification (hereinafter referred to as the notified animal or bird), in any urban area, after the expiry of a period of three months from the date of such notification except under, and in accordance with the conditions of, a licence granted to him under this Act.
