Exemption

Nothing in this Act shall apply to any notified animal or bird brought for or kept for educational or research purposes in any prohibited area: Provided that the Government may exclude such animal or bird from the purview of this Act, subject to such conditions as may be specified in that behalf, and may at any time by like order, suspend, modify or cancel such exemption.
