Amendment of section 59

In section 59 of the 1971 Act,-

1. (1) in sub-section (1),-
   • (i) the expression "and every person nominated under clause
   • (a) of sub-section
2. (2) of section 5" shall be omitted:
   • (ii) for the expression- "elected as a councillor of/ nominated under clause
   • (a) of sub-section
3. (2) of section 5 as a representative in", the expression "elected as a councillor of" shall be substituted:
4. (2) in sub-section (2), the expression "or sits as a representative nominated under clause
   • (a) of sub-section
5. (2) of section 5" shall be omitted.
