Amendment of section 2, Central Act VIII of 1851

Sub-section

1. (5) of section 2 of the Indian Tolls Act, 1851 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), shall be lettered as clause
   • (a) of that sub-section and to the sub-section so lettered, the following clause shall be added, namely :--
   • (b) The [State] Government may farm out the collection of the tolls levied under sub-section
2. (1) and in such a case the farmer and his agents and servants shall be deemed to be persons appointed to collect tolls under this Act.
