Cessation of membership

A member shall be deemed to have vacated his office,—

1. (1) on sending his resignation in writing to the President;
2. (2) on his absence, without excuse sufficient in the opinion of the Council, from three consecutive meetings of the Council;
3. (3) on his ceasing to ordinarily reside in the State of Tamil Nadu for twelve consecutive months;
4. (4) on removal of his name from the register;
5. (5) on his applying to be adjudicated, or on his being adjudicated, as an insolvent;
6. (6) on his being declared to be of unsound mind by a competent court;
7. (7) on the expiry of the term of office mentioned in sub-section
8. (2) of section 5;
9. (8) on his being sentenced by a criminal court to imprisonment for any offence involving moral turpitude; or
10. (9) on his becoming a paid employee of the Council.
