Document Writers’ Welfare Fund

Statutory text
- (1) The Government shall, by notification, constitute a fund to be called as the Tamil Nadu Document Writers’ Welfare Fund.
- (2) The following shall be credited to the fund,
- (a) all sums collected from document writers for admission as a member of the fund under section 19;
- (b) all amounts collected at a rate not exceeding fifty rupees, as may be prescribed, per document presented in any of the office of the Sub-Registrar for registration under the Registration Act, 1908: Provided that this clause shall not apply to any document presented for registration on behalf of the Central Government or the State Government or Local Authority as defined in clause
- (11) of section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Local Authorities Entertainments Tax Act, 2017.
