Constituent colleges and Affiliated Colleges

(1) The University may have constituent colleges, Regional Centres and Study Centres. (2) The University may with the prior approval of the Board of Governors, affiliate any college or other institution. In the principal Act, in section 8 - (i) in clause (a) after the words "Study Centres" the words, "anywhere in the State of Sikkim" shall be inserted; (ii) in clause (g), the words "or a constituent college, affiliated colleges located if India and abroad", shall be omitted; (iii) in clause (h), the words "a constituent college", shall be omitted; (iv) in clause (i), the words "or a constituent college at the main campus and other campuses in India and abroad", shall be omitted; (v) in clause (m), after the words "distance education system" the words, "approved by UGC/erstwhile DEC", shall be inserted; (vi) in clause (o), the words "constituent colleges, affiliated colleges", shall be omitted; (vii) in clause (p), the words "or in a constituent college, affiliated college" shall be omitted.
