Composition and functions of the faculties

(1) There shall be such faculties in the University as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) Each faculty shall consist of the following:- (a) Dean of the Faculty - Chairman; (b) University professors of the subjects assigned to the Faculty; (c) Chairmen of the Boards of Studies in the Faculty; (d) two external experts nominated by the Academic Council; (e) one Post-graduate College Principal and one Post-graduate Department Head in each subject of the Faculty from affiliated colleges, nominated by the State Government. (3) The Faculty shall perform such functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
