Punishment for dissemination of offensive material.

Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, whoever publishes, communicates or disseminates by any method, physical or electronic, any offensive material, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term of not less than one year but which may extend to three years, and with fine which may extend to fifty thousand rupees.
