Whoever voluntarily and falsely assumes or uses any title or description or any addition to his name implying that he holds a degree, diploma, licence or certificate conferred, granted or issued by any association or institution recognized by the Board under this Act or that he is qualified to practise an Indian system of medicine surgery or midwifery under the provisions of this Act, shall on conviction, be punishable with fine which may extend to fifty rupees for the first offence and to fine which may extend to two hundred rupees for every subsequent offence.
