Applicability of the Punjab Tenancy Act

(1) Except as provided in section 7 of this Act, the Punjab Tenancy Act, 1887, shall not be applicable to tenancies held under this Act. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) of this section shall affect the application of the Punjab Tenancy Act, 1887, to any matter or dispute arising between "tenants of the Government" and their sub-tenants to which Government is not a party.
