Power to remove difficulties
The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Act, 1998(1) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act, or by reason of anything contained in this Act in relation to any other enactment for the time being in force, the Government may, as occasion arises, by order, published in the Official Gazette direct that this Act shall during such period, as may be specified in the order, but not extending beyond the expiry of two years from the date of commencement of this Act, have effect subject to such adaptation whether by way of modification, addition or omission, as it may deem to be necessary and expedient. (2) No order made under sub-section (1) shall be questioned in a court of law on the ground that no difficulty as is referred to in the said sub-section exists or was required to be resolved. (3) Every order published under this section shall, as soon as may be after its publication, be laid before the State Legislature.
