Term of Office

Statutory text
- (1) The term of office of the members of the Faculty referred to in clauses (i),
- (ii) and
- (iii) of sub-section
- (3) of section 3 shall be five years to be computed from the date of publication of the notification: Provided that a person appointed to fill a casual vacancy shall hold office only so long as the member in whose place he is appointed would have held office if the vacancy had not occurred.
- (2) An out going member shall continue in office until the appointment of his successor has been notified and shall be eligible for re-appointment.
