Short title, extent and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Industrial Housing Act, 1956.

1. (2) It shall extend to the whole of ¹[Union territory of Chandigarh].
2. (3) It shall come into force in such areas as may be specified by the ²[Central Government] from time to time by notification in the official Gazette.
