The Punjab Court of Wards (Validation of Exercise of Powers) Act, 1957

1. This Act may be called the Punjab Court of Wards (Validation of Exercise of Powers) Act, 1957.

2. All acts of cxecutivc aulhority or proceedings which havc been done or taken with respccr to or in connection with any coun of wards estilte since 1st Octobejn, 1949, and before the ct~rnmencemcn t il'delw'iq in of this Act, by an officer nor below the rank of Extra Assistant Commissioner in charge of couri of wards estate or by a person acling under his aulhority or otherwise in pursuance of an order of Punjah Coud oi Wards, or in the belief or purported belief that thc acts and proceedings were bcing done or taken under the orders passed under secrion 4(3) of the Punjab Court of Wards Act, 1903. shall he as valid and operative as i C lhey had bcen done or taken in accordance with law, and no civil suit or other legal proceeding shall bc maintained or continued against any pelhson whatsoever on the ground that any such act or proceeding was no1 done 01- tdken in accvrdance with law.
