Chief Registrar of Marriages, District Registrar of Marriages, Registrar of Marriages and other officers to be public servants

The Chief Registrar of Marriages, the District Registrar of Marriages, the Registrar of Marriages and other officers, appointed to perform functions under this Act, shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (45 of 1860).
