Framing of Statutes

(1) The first Statutes shall be framed by the Government. (2) Subject to the provision contained in Sub-section (3), (4) and (5) the Board of Management may, from time to time, make new or additional Statutes or may amend or repeal the Statutes. (3) The Board of Management may, from time to time, make any proposal to the Chancellor for new Statutes or for the amendment or repeal of the Statutes in force to the Chancellor. (4) On receipt of a proposal under sub-section (3) the Chancellor in consultation with the Government, may either disapprove it or approve it with or without modification. (5) No Statutes or amendment or repeal of the Statutes by the Board of Management shall have effect until it is approved by the Chancellor. (6) The Government may also propose for new Statutes or for the amendment or repeal of any Statutes in force to the Chancellor. (7) The first Statutes or subsequent Statutes shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
