Registrar
The Odisha Co-operative Societies Act, 1962(1) The State Government may appoint a person to be the Registrar of Co-operative Societies for the State and may appoint other persons with prescribed designations to assist him. (2) The State Government may, by general or special order, confer on any person appointed to assist the Registrar all or any of the powers of the Registrar under this Act to be exercised within such local limits as may be assigned by the Registrar. (3) The State Government may also, by order, appoint any Society or local authority to assist the Registrar who shall exercise in the prescribed manner such powers of the Registrar, as may be specified in the said order. (4) Every person appointed to assist the Registrar shall exercise the powers conferred on him under Sub-Section (2) or (3), as the case may be, subject to the general superintendence and control of the Registrar.
