Eviction of allottee

(1) Whenever it comes to the notice of the Grama Parishad that any person to whom land has been allotted under section 19 has without sufficient cause failed to cultivate such land personally for two consecutive agricultural years or to construct the house within two years from the date of allotment and reside therein as the case may be, it may make an application to the Tahsildar having jurisdiction for eviction of the allottee from the land. (2) Upon receipt of an application under sub-section (1) the Tahsildar may, after giving the person concerned a reasonable opportunity of being heard and after holding such enquiry as he deems fit, evict such person from the land.
