Appointment of official on deputation

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act and rules, the Government may appoint on deputation to any posts in Groups "A" and "B" of the urban Local Body on such terms and conditions and for such period as may be specified by the Government, from among the persons who are in the service of Government and the concerned Urban Local Body shall bear the cost towards the pay and allowance of each such officer which he is entitled to receive under the Rules of the Government governing his services to which he belongs and shall make contribution towards the pension, if any, and salary of such officer to which he is entitled in his service under the Government.
