Provided that the area reserved shall, as far as practicable, be in compact block or blocks of one acre or more.

De-reservation of lands A. The State Government shall, at any time, if it is necessary in the public interest, de-reserve any land reserved in favour of any Grama Sasan under section 5, and on such de-reservation the land shall vest in the State Government free from all encumbrances.
