This Act may be called the Orissa Aided Educational Institutions ( Appointment of Teachers Validation ) Act, 1981.

Definitions

2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, (a) "aided college" means an aided educational institution which is a college;

1. (b) "aided school" means an aided educational institution which is a school;
2. (c) "Education Act" means the Orissa Education Act, 1969;
3. (d) "Managing authority" means the Managing Committee or the Governing Body, as the case may be, of an aided educational institution;
4. (e) "Selection Board" means the Selection Board constituted under the Education Act;
5. (f) Words and expressions used in this Act, but not defined herein, shall have the same meaning as assigned to them respectively under the Education Act or under the Rules and Regulations framed thereunder.
