The Odisha Aided Educational Institution (Appointment of Teachers Validation) Act, 1981

This Act validates the appointments of teachers and lecturers in Orissa's aided schools and colleges who were hired on an ad hoc basis between December 1, 1976, and March 1, 1981, provided they had at least one year of service. It also covers lecturers who moved from government colleges to aided colleges. By doing so, the law ensures these specific appointments are legally recognized and cannot be challenged in court, even if the hiring process wasn't perfectly followed. However, it specifically protects teachers selected by the official Selection Board to ensure they are not treated unfairly compared to others.
