Disqualification

A person shall be disqualified from being selected as and for being a member of Village Council : —

(1) If he is unsound mind and stands so declared by the competent court or such authority as may be recognised by the State Government ; or

(2) If he is not a citizen of India or has voluntarily acquired citizenship of foreign nation or is under acknowledgement or allegiance to a foreign nation;
