Board of Governors and its powers
The St. Joseph University (Nagaland) Act, 2016(1) The Board of Governors shall consist of the following: (a) The Chancellor; (b) The Pro Chancellor; (c) The Vice-Chancellor; (d) The Registrar; (e) The Finance Officer; (f) Three eminent educationists/ Industrialist to be nominated by the Sponsor; (g) Two persons of the teaching community of the University to be nominated by the Academic Council; (h) One academician to be nominated by the Visitor. (2) The Chancellor shall be the Chairman of the Board of Governors. (3) The Registrar shall be the ex officio Secretary of the Board of Governors. (4) The Board of Governors shall be the supreme authority and principal governing body of the University and shall have the following powers, namely:
