Discipline

(1) The Vice Chancellor shall be responsible for the maintenance of discipline in the University and his orders in this regard shall be carried out by the officers and staff of the University. (2) Notwithstanding anything in sub-section (1), the punishment of debarring a student from an examination of the University or rusticating him from the University or institution of the University or any other punishment of such serious nature imposed only by the Board of Management on receipt of a report from the Vice Chancellor. Provided that the Board of Management shall impose such a punishment only after student concerned a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
