Received the assent of the Governor of Nagaland on 14/09/2000 and published in theNagaland Gazette Extraordinary dated: 11' ofOctober, 2000.

Short title, extent andcommencement.

i. This Act may be called the Nagaland Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 2000. ii. Itextends to the whole ofNagaland iii. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint.

In SubSection(I)of Section2, the following substituted. i. "Authority" shall mean Development Authority, Nagaland constituted under section 8A and shall also include authority as may be declared or constituted by the State Government under section 12 of the Principal Act.
