Punishment for obstructing the Authority. Whoever obstructs the Authority, the

Road Safety Commissioner, District Road Safety Committee or any officer of the Authority or of the District Road Safety Committee or any person employed or engaged by them in the discharge of the functions under this Act, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of maximum three years or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees or with both.
