Amendment of section 2

Amendment of section 2 2. In section 2 of the Meghalaya Nursing Council Act, 1992 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) -

1. (i) for the existing clause (d), the following new clause

1. (d) shall be substituted, namely:- “(d) "nurse" means a registered nurse, of different cadre".
   • (ii) after clause (j), the following new clause
2. (ja) shall be inserted, namely:- “(ja) "State Council" means a Council, by whatever name called, constituted under the law of a State to regulate the registration of nurses, midwives, health visitors in the State".
