Chapter II FLOOD ZONING AUTHORITY AND ITS POWERS
Statutory text
- (1) At the commencement of this Act, the State Government, shall by notification in the official Gazette, constitute an Authority to be known as the Flood Zoning Authority.
- (2) The Authority shall consist of such number of members to be appointed by the State Government as may be prescribed by rules for carrying out the purpose of this Act.
- (3) The Authority and all officers and employees authorised under this Act shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of sub-section
- (28) of Section 2 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act No. 45 of 2023).
