THE MANIPUR LOKTAK LAKE (PROTECTION) (2 AMENDMENT) ACT, 2011 | {Mlnipur Act No. 1 of 2012) An Act to further amend the Manipur Loktak Lake (Protection) Act, 2006. "BE it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Sixty-Second Year of the Republic of India as follows:- The Manipur loktak Lake (Protection) (2™ Amendment) Ack, 2011

1. (1) This Act may be called The . Manipur. Loktak Lake (Protection) (2™ Amendment) Act, 2011.
2. (2) It'shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, in the Official Gazette, appoint.

Clause (ii) of Section 19 of the Manipur Loktak Lake (Protection) Act, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the Principle Act) is deleted.

After Section 31 of the Act, the following new Section 31A shall be inserted, namely — “ 31A. Right to fishing. — Subject to the provisions contained in this Act, a fisherman shall have the right to fishing in the Loktak Lake in the manner as may be prescribed .”.
