Duties of the Ward Development Committee

9. Every Ward Development Committee shall have the duty to:

1. (i) produce the Ward Plans in a manner consistent with the Municipal Plans within the time specified by the State Government;
2. (ii) prepare the Ward Budget in accordance with the Ward Plans and complete this exercise within the time specified by the Municipality;
3. (iii) encourage local-level alternatives for implementation in all the areas that the Ward Development Committee has responsibility for;
4. (iv) ensure optimal collection of all revenue sources;
5. (v) map the Ward Infrastructure Index for that Ward.
