Except as otherwise provided in this Act, the municipal administration of a Municipal Corporation shall vest in the Municipal Corporation.

Composition of Municipal Corporation. [2], 12C. (i) Every Municipal Corporation shall consist of such number of Councillors as may be fixed by the State Government from time to time by notification.

1. (2) Save as provided in sub-section (3), all the seats in a Municipal Corporation shall be filled by persons chosen by direct election from the territorial constituencies to be known as wards in the municipal area.
