Provided that the Board may, with the approval of the State Government, incur expenditure in excess of the amount provided in the budget under any head within the total amount sanctioned in the budget.

1. (1) The Board may submit to the State Government a supplementary budget and programme of work in such form and at such time as may be prescribed, as and when the Board considers it necessary to undertake additional activities.
2. (2) The State Government shall cause the supplementary budget and programme of work to be laid as soon as may be after they are received before the Legislative Assembly.
